Airbus seems to be developing a new technology which can detect errant UAV's and remotely take control of them to protect "sensitive" areas. Evidently, this technology can also track down the UAV's operator. Of course, this technology is being developed in Europe, where people's rights to privacy are somewhat more flexible than ours... However, the ability for a government entity to commandeer a UAV and identify its operator raises certain issues, privacy chief among them. Doubtless, such technology may well prove to safeguard airports and National Security areas, but would it stop there? Discuss.
