Hello everybody, I am your admin George. I've created this forum in the hopes that aviators in the Denver area and beyond can come together and help each other achieve their career and training goals.
A little about myself, if you don't know me personally:
I'm originally from California where I graduated high school in 2007. I earned an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Bakersfield College in 2009, and planned a career in law enforcement. I attended KCSO academy in 2010, but eventually decided law enforcement wasn't my calling. However, my childhood love for airplanes never diminished.
I moved to Colorado in April 2011 and stayed with family for a year, which included a brother-in-law who is a first officer for United. He urged me to take a discovery flight with Flights INC at Centennial Airport, and I've been hooked ever since.
I attend MSU Denver as an Aviation Technology major, Professional Flight Officer concentration. I know I want to fly for a living, but I haven't quite decided in what capacity yet.
I earned my Private Pilot Certificate (ASEL) in October 2014 (on my birthday, actually), and am currently working toward both my Instrument Rating and Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI) rating.
I currently work as a supervisor for an armed security company and work part-time as a commercial UAV operator with a marketing/public relations firm.
This is just the start of my journey, and I hope to share my experience and any expertise with my fellow pilots.
